Clase se enfocara en los principios del baile técnico. Calentamiento estará basada en estas bases para facilitar el aprendizaje de varios géneros como el ballet clásico, baile moderno, jazz, teatro musical y la aplicación en bailes sociales. La clasificación de "baile social" es todo lo que se considera "popular," a través de los años la danza popular a sido aburguesada en artes finas. Es nuestra meta reconocer de dónde nacen los nuevos bailes populares y mantener la autenticidad de sus raízes. El objetivo de esta clase es mantener y crecer una comunidad entre San Diego y Tijuana, el baile es reconocido como un lenguaje Universal. Aprovechamos nuestra vocación para fortalecer esta relación fronteriza única. Estudiantes de todos niveles son bienvenidos.

Santiago Rivera (El/Uno/Nosotros)

Santiago Rivera is a Los Angeles native who started dancing in eighth grade. When he moved to Texas he started his formal training and competed in his high school dance team and for his local dance studio. He graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 2016 where he earned a Bachelors degree in Drama and Minor in Educational Studies. He choreographed and taught throughout his college career and was honored to choreograph for UCI's New York Satellite Program in 2016. He has choreographed pieces in California, New York, Arizona and Texas. He has taught for various dance programs, intensives, master classes and studios where he focuses his practice in the Gaga movement language and Limon technique. After graduating he choreographed pieces for festivals, showcases, conferences and symposiums all around California. He returned to school in 2018 in pursuit of his certification in Dance Instruction. He currently studies at Orange Coast College and recently completed the Jose Limon Technique Certification Program. He will start graduate school for Dance and Choreography in Fall 2021 and is very excited to further his education in Dance. His biggest goal is to teach and choreograph in higher education and teach the future generations of dancers the importance of diversity and equality in dance and our communities.
